Where Does The Time Go?
Wow it's been a while! Sorry everyone. Time slips away from us, especially with a toddler in tow. You may have heard Skyler has an eye patch now to help strengthen his right eye. It seems to be working, as we've noticed him using his right eye a lot more and even using both eyes at the same time to look at things! Yay! He's also saying new words like "Quack", "Duck", "Yay", "Up", "Down" and "Hi". He's definitely understanding a lot more too, and making the steps toward standing and (maybe eventually even) walking on his own!
Things have been busy over here in our little corner of the world, and Skyler will (hopefully) very soon have his own room! Mommy has been starting to homeschool him in his own little "preschool" curriculum. This includes lots of time in the sand box, the water table, singing songs, playing tickle games, clapping, and learning colours, shapes and the alphabet! Skyler gets to choose any activity he wants to do while mommy talks to him and teaches him about the world around him. He loves to sing along when we sing the alphabet, and turn the pages when we read stories. And his favourite thing to do lately is play the keyboard! Skyler loves music, maybe when he's older he'll want to play a real piano. Now what you've been waiting for, it's time for some pictures!

I want to read when I'm older!
Reading is a right, not a privilege.
What would you do if the benefits of reading were missing from your life… how would you learn, work, or just get lost in a great story?
The right to read of blind and partially sighted Canadians is in jeopardy. Without immediate government funding for accessible library services, books and essential information in accessible formats will be missing from their lives.
We need your help now to urge Canada’s federal, provincial and territorial governments to partner with CNIB to support and sustain the CNIB Library and its vital services.
Please help this cause by sending a letter to the Premier then Canada's Prime Minister, the letters are all done for you, you just have to put your name and address!
Thanks!
